Visitors from "City & Life"

Last week, an editor and a photographer of the City & Life magazin visited one of our practices. In the beginning they were sceptical towards Lacrosse but after trying it themselves, they were very exited about the "new" sport. As a result they published an awfully nice article about Lacrosse and the Vienna Monarchs. Thank you!

WE ARE THE WINNERS OF THE LEAGUE!

May 30th, 2015, saw the showdown in the Austrian Women's Lacrosse League. At noon the Graz Gladiators and the Vienna Monarchs, tied up until that point, met for the last time this season. Our ladies were visibly nervous due to the loss two weeks earlier and weren't able to find their game as quickly as the ladies from Graz, who had home advantage. This resulted in a 0:3 lead for Graz, which the Monarchs minimized to a 4:5 till halftime.

22nd Ales Hrebesky Memorial – 22.-25.4.2015

After a great performance in the previous year, we had to show up giving everything at Europe's biggest box tournament, with participating teams from 15 different nations. The ten men of the Vienna Monachs, supported by four Czech players, were in a group with TJ Malesice (CZE) and Helan Gar (SWE).

Already in the first game against TJ Malesice the Monarchs caused the first surprise. After a hard fight and exchange of blows, they were able to win the match during penalty shootout after a 3:3 during regular playing time.
